Thanks to a tip from Darlene, I was able to order a FREE recycling bin from bottlesandcans.com. The website is a function of the California Refund Value (CRV) program, whose goal is to encourage recycling in California's local communities. One way they do this is by offering schools and businesses one free recycling kit (above).
We can expect our bin in 8-10 weeks (March 19th). I was not made aware of any strings that may be attached, so I think it's safe to enjoy.
